If you are between 16 and 18½ years of age then Rotary’s Long Term Exchange Programme (LTEP) offers an unique opportunity to spend time abroad and continue your education. You’ll live with a selected host family or families and spend up to a year learning all about their lives, their culture, their language perhaps – and learning a lot about yourself too!
- Meet new people and make friendships that will last a lifetime
- Develop new skills that will be invaluable for the rest of your life
- Learn a new way of living – maybe even a new language
- Enjoy an unforgettable experience
The LTEP is not a gap year in the accepted sense – high school or, in some countries, college attendance is a requirement and the whole experience is structured to enable you to continue your education in a different country and culture so that you really can get the most out of your time abroad. It won’t cost a fortune and Rotary will be with you every step of the way.
This is How it Works
